Secular And Vibrant Youths Of India See our political Netas. They want to challenge the Supreme Court order against criminal politicians. Our Netas want criminals in the parliament and assemblies. Secularism is a term misconstrued by a few religious fanatical leaders and all the rogue politicians who want to cling to power. Secularism does not prevent anyone from praying their own gods. Secularism means the ability to accept people of other religious faiths with respect. In this sense, I am sure that the majority of the people belonging to different faiths in India are secular. In a cricket match against England or Pakistan, I am sure that the Christians and Muslims of India support only India. Any citizen of India would not wish a repeat of the dreaded Moghul or Christian rule in our country. I was working as the Head of Mathematics and Computer Science Department in an Islamic country. Although I am a born Hindu, the Islamic administration there fully supported me in my endeavour to develop the department. A few colleagues of mine in the department hailing from Pakistan and Bangladesh tried to defame me by playing the religious card. Their attempts were futile; the university finally terminated their contracts. The public at large live happily without religious hatred. For the sake of votes, it is only the rulers who try to inject the venom of hatred and incite violence with the help of a few fanatical religious leaders. It is well known that the rulers follow the policy of divide and rule. But it will not work this time. Like the majority, the minorities are also ignored. Muslims and Hindus live in harmony in Gujarat, Ayodhya and elsewhere in India; they will ignore the utterances of some political spokesmen to create rifts among them. Religion is a private affair and is not the point of concern in the aspects of administration and governance in most developed countries of the world. All the youths of India belonging to all faiths should unite to end the dynastic rule and also the dominance of rogue regional parties in the coming elections. You are free to practise your faith. The youth want a safe and secure future with social, educational, economic and technological development. Get modified to save India from the rogue, corrupt politicians. You are an Indian first; religion comes only after that. History shows that Hindus have never persecuted members of another faith. Hinduism accepts all peaceful people of any religion. Millions all over the world follow the art of living preached by Sri Sri Ravishankar.
