Security Officer Needed - Thursday Nights in West Chester, PA The current position is for Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 PM – 3:00 AM. Thursday evenings are a night I really need to fill. Perfect opportunity to supplement ft or other pt work. The position involves conducting roving foot patrol of designated areas within West Chester. Candidates must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing, handle several tasks simultaneously and remain composed in emergency situations. Assist persons becoming ill, assist with crowd control when needed and report any unusual activity. Complete incident reports to document all incidents. This position also requires excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, a valid driver’s license; a criminal-free record and prior security, military or police experience preferred. Excellent physical condition, including full mobility also required. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Degree or working towards a degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent security, military, Loss Prevention or police experience, preferably in a college/university environment a plus. Basic Qualifications: * Must be at least 21, have a valid driver’s license and transportation. Maintain a neat and professional appearance & demeanor. * Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively. I am looking for the best of the best that can handle this detail, especially if they are looking for some added income that does not have too much impact on the normal work week. Local to the West Chester PA area preferred. Compensation will be between $10:00 - $12.00 per hour for the security detail. Investigative work would be paid at a higher rate. Surveillances – vary, there are times we are working 7 days a week doing different surveillances / investigations, other times it might be once a month. Depends on case load, investigators availability, etc. but I think you would be a good fit for this based on your experience and educations.
