Im glad to see another movie that shows how great of an actress she is. And (sorry for starting with and) anything with George in it is worth watching at least twice. Well if you had to use sci then I would have to call it Sci-non-fiction. A very interesting movie in that in the very limited space of the universe (wow did I just say/ write/ think that?) within this limitation he (writer, director, producer bla bla bla bla bla - whats his name?) was able to get you to tap into so many images of your brain through situations and many, many metaphors. The later, her inside the Soyuz (Duh, da, duh, da - yes I had to look it up), mothers womb. Her being spit out to the next station. Her last encounter with George, the spirit, spirituality, the hereafter and even Karma. Oh oh oh the break from the umbilical cord (yeah thats an obvious one that I just caught), her flopping out of the water, her trying to walk, then to what looks like a prehistoric land (but we know its not) but its al relative so in a sense we are actually. The writer missed having her land in the Galapagos (yep spelled it wrong my first attempt) instead of Greenland, thats a gem missed. Before I sat down to write I had thought its worth seeing but I dont know that Id go see it again . . . but now after thinking about all this Im going to. This time Ill see it in 3D. This will be the first time I actually go to see a 3D movie on my own, without being dragged to it. Sunday night I was lucky to go to a private screening of Gravity. Private in that if you go to late shows on off night then you will have the most luxurious movie experience. The big question is will there be a sequel the possibilities are endless. So much to the movie you have to go and see how it strikes you. In doing my homework for World Championships in Egypt in 2014, it was cool to recognize Cairo (at night) the delta that feeds water to Cairo and down the Nile, to see the light of the population that is there only because of that water.
