Seed catalogs are starting to arrive already. Lets share our seed sources. I sometimes buy from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, a bunch of sustainable-farming advocates from Charlottesville, Virginia. Theyre way into the peoples right to save seed. Locally, they host seed swaps, tastings, and workshops on heirloom gardening, year-round edible gardening as well as regional festivals. Their website has a useful garden planner. This year the catalog features 29 new heirloom and organic varieties including Alabama Blue Collards, Jewels of Opar (a flower and a green vegetable) and Carolina Cayenne peppers.
