Seeing the film The Wild Geese tonight..........I just remembered these items I have........ I wonder if these two 68 pattern smocks may have come from this film...? They look okay, and match the 68 pattern fairly closely, although lack a few details..........also, made in a lighter DPM fabric, probably tropical material in fact that was available from the mid-1970s..........lining too, is a lighter colour and weight from standard, and the metal zippers earlier 60s manufacture (Swift)........add to that the theatrical suppliers label....... When the film was made, issue DPM was restricted and impossible to source surplus........this didnt change until the early 1980s...............so, I just wonder if some of this was knocked up by the film companies and this one is a distinct possibility.........sorry for the blurry images, but theyre old photos......
