Seeing the reactions of liberals/educated/progressives on two latest cases in point: on Pakistan voting NO for anti-gay UN voting, and on the KP curriculum removing what they see as objectionable material, I am disappointed yet again at the extremism in liberal circles. They are doing EXACTLY what they bash extremists for: they are showing a complete lack of empathy for the other point of view. Personally I agree with one of these moves and not with the other(will not specify here).But I can understand certain sensibilities and where some view points are coming from. But most of the reactions are predictable, typical and ridiculous hyperbole at best. Typical groups of people in their bubbles with witty remarks and ridiculing an alternate point of view, but posing as being open-minded. Wanna be true liberals as you claim? (Remember the right wing never claims that. You do!). LEARN to give a fair hearing to different opinions.
