When God sets His mind to bless and lift up a person, the criteria for it may be insignificant to the human mind. The promises of God to David seemed to be too numerous__ranging from choosing Him, to establishing his lineage forever. It also included fighting for him against his foes etc. David the last son of Jesse was promised being placed in the position of the firstborn, higher than all earthly kings. Are you disturbed by your lowly position in the family or society? Delight yourself in God and you will experience His lifting and marvel about what God would bring out of your weak condition. Your low status now cannot hinder you from being placed higher than you can imagine on earth. Situation can still turn around for your good.
