Seek Grace – The death penalty, the tithe, and slavery are not requirements in the New Testament. They are not laid out in the New Testament like they are in the Old Testament. And no, the reason isn’t because no one wanted to repeat it. The reason is because we are under grace. Study grace. It is true that the Apostle Paul did not try to stop slavery. He said obey your masters. He did not try to stop the death penalty. He said If I am worthy of death give me death. He did not mention the word “tithe” and he went as far as holding a job on top of ministering to people. He was a tent maker. I believe that’s because Paul knew these things would fade away. And guess what? They have!
