Seeking opinions. Were restoring a 75 Popsi with a view to making it a usable bike which will last another 40 years. ;) I know there is divided opinion on the best finish for the frame. The obvious top-level options are to respray, or to powdercoat, but then of course theres more detailed choices of with what? Were not hung up on it being 100% original, but at the same time we dont want it to look obviously wrong - not wrong to the I think youll find... brigade, just at a glance wrong to the average bloke in the street who had one back in the day. With longevity in mind Im thinking a satin black powdercoat may be the way to go, but what have people done, and more importantly what did they think of the results?
