Seems like Richie Incognito is a classic psycopath: A mastermind at manipulation, a charismatic leader, incredible hubris to the point of delusion, no remorse. A hallmark of psycopaths is that most people like them very much and a few catch their dark side and are confused why no one sees who they really are. I predict that most people following this story will be manipulated into thinking that Richie really is a great guy, but that, in the end, the truth will come out because Richie will commit the one mistake that psycopaths tend to make: overreach. Richie will continue to manipulate the media until his house of cards falls apart.
