Seems like life is a glaze, like its a fairytale only you cant always choose a happy ending. It was week ago almost to the hour (9:40pm) that my mother took her last breath of life and made her transition to heaven. Although she lived 101 years and it was her chosen time, reality has not set in. It is different for everyone, a spouse, a grandchild, a friend , a neighbor and certainly a child. I was fortunate to have my mother longer than most but it does not make the pain less bearable. While everyone returns to their jobs and work, I glance at my father who was married to her for 56 yrs as he hums and goes through the motions with little meaning. I glance at her empty spot at the table and I loose my appetite. last night I went to her room to share a thought and then remembered she was not there. I was blessed to be able to spend the last three weeks of her life with her. I know God is in control and I have to pull it together and be strong. But right now it is just so hard, so very hard.
