The author Marc Emile Samuel takes us on an epic journey of biblical proportions and weaves a tale of love, honour, faith and adventure with his impeccable writing style. Though set sometime in the distant past the morals and tribulations the characters face are easily relatable to our world today. A battle of good versus evil if you will and the consequence this has on a long-ago society and its people, both rich and poor. It is written with a rare understanding of what makes us human and with an incredible sensitivity. Marc Emile Samuel proves he has intense knowledge of the Middle Eastern region and the customs and ways of its people. The story is exciting and at times touchingly emotional and I found myself transported to a different place and time to become fully immersed in this lovely fable-like tale.
