This position is dependent upon contract award. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains powered equipment, and operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, uses micrometers and gauges supporting the replacement of defective engines and subassemblies such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency. Welds broken parts and structural members and may direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and provide assistance with the assembly and disassembly of equipment.
