It can be very nourishing though to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle every now and then in order to quiet your mind and get in touch with the stillness within you. It is easy to get caught up in activity and meeting goals and forget that our inner world is the true foundation of our existence. We need to return to the well and replenish ourselves regularly, or we will not be able to participate fully in the world around us. Follow your thoughts and feelings within today in order to renew your connection with the universe. We may not realize all the ways we have invested our energy, and like several connections to one battery, we may eventually begin to feel run down. Removing ourselves from the world for a time allows us to unplug from it all, recharge our battery and then consciously choose where we would like to reconnect. Some connections may be nourishing, and others draining. It may require taking ourselves out of the situation and examining it from the perspective of our higher self to watch where our energy is going. Today you can escape from the world outside by turning within to renew your connection to your source and return to the world refreshed and recharged.
