September 27 THE UNFOLDING OF THE WORD OF GOD The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130 Until God’s words are unfolded, darkness remains; but the unfolding of the words of God expels darkness and cause light to be. Darkness typifies ignorance. And you know what, the works of darkness (the works of the devil) thrive when and where there’s ignorance. Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Lack of knowledge here simply means ignorance. But when the words of God are made known, ignorance is banished. The entrance and unfolding of your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple (Psalm 119:130 Amp). This unfolding of God’s words is made possible by the Spirit of God. Jesus said concerning this precious Holy Spirit that “… He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26). In John 16:13, the Lord said “… He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come”. Therefore, the unfolding of the words of God is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Whenever you are listening to God’s word being preached or when you’re studying or meditating on God’s word, light and understanding are being ministered to you. This light will shine upon your path and cause whatever you do to prosper. And the understanding that the unfolding of God’s words brings to you will make you to walk in the reality of God’s favour. You will do the impossible effortlessly. Child of God, fellowship with the Spirit of God on a consistent basis through prayer and study of the word (i.e. listening, reading, meditating and practising) and the word will be unfolded to you in a way that it will produce tremendous results in your life.
