September is Chiari Malformation Awareness month. Ive been challenged to show off my purple. I accept this challenge, in honor of everyone who is fighting the disease CM. In memory of my sweet sister Gwen Mcculley, who is celebrating her birthday today, Sept.7th, in Heaven. On Mothers Day 2012, before she passed away, she was admitted into the hospital. After some test, Dr.s informed us she was suffering from, what they believed, was Chiari Malformation. An MRI would be needed for documented evidence to support, and confirm a diagnosis. Drs provided educational material, about CM, giving me a more clear understanding, about CM Gwen was having, or had already experienced, almost every symptom and/or effect caused by CM....Sadly Gwen passed away May 29, 2012, before an MRI could be done to determine whether or not, for certain, she had Chiari Malformation of the Brain. My best friend from elementary school, AKA My Twin, Susan Dawn Turner Blitchingtons 12 yr. old daughter Emily, also lives and suffers from this incurable brain disease. I now challenge everyone tagged, lhkouiolhiiooiillllllllikes, reasds , or shares this post, to Show Off Your Purple this September, to raise awareness and find a cure. All my love, Teresa Beltz Garcia
