Sergeant is such a hunk and its so heartbreaking to see him on the list again and again... Wont someone save his life this time around?! A volunteer writes: Sergeant draws my attention immediately because of his intense and bright amber eyes. He is a good looking dog who like most Pities did not have the most clement life. He is overly thin and has two puzzling healing sores on his body. Sergeants coat is intact and well groomed, though. Sergeant walks well on the leash and eliminates on the way. He is quite hungry (we are feeding him three times a day) but takes food politely from my hand. He sits right away on command, comes when called and proves himself to be a great snuggling and kissing partner. He is welcoming of other volunteer and staff coming to say hello. Sergeant is very sociable and seems so comfortable and happy amidst a crowd of people. He meets other dogs with a high tail and I suspect that he had to defend his meal more than once in his short life. Sergeant is a very friendly, affectionate and sociable young man who will make quite a loving companion. He most likely had a hard short life and will have to learn that it can be so different in caring hands. Sergeant is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to start his life as a pet.
