Serie A - Italian transfer round-up: Kaka to play for Milan before joining MLS Milan will reportedly fly out today to complete a deal for Kaka, but he may only stay with the Rossoneri until March before moving to LA Galaxy. The Brazilian declared this week he wanted to leave and coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in Saturday’s press conference that Real Madrid will grant that request. Despite interest from Manchester United and Arsenal, he seems set on a return to San Siro, the club he left for a then-world-record transfer fee in 2009. Italian media suggests that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani will fly out to Madrid in order to complete negotiations with both club and player. However, Tuttosport claim this will only be a temporary stop-over for the 31-year-old. It’s reported Kaka will stay with Milan until March, when the MLS season begins, and will then move on to the Galaxy. This would enable the Rossoneri to save on his wages, spending €3.5m for six months, and Kaka would essentially make way for Keisuke Honda when he arrives on a free transfer from CSKA Moscow in January. CSKA Moscow had given the all-clear to Milan to buy Honda, but changed their minds after the Champions League draw on Thursday. Having been close to Inter, it’s now claimed Verona are on the verge of a deal for Porto talent Juan Manuel Iturbe. The 20-year-old Argentine forward was put on the market by Porto earlier this month. Inter were immediately interested in the deal, as were Genoa, but according to the Gazzetta dello Sport Verona have emerged as front runners. They are thought to be very close to securing a deal for Iturbe on loan with option to buy at the end of the season. Playing on the right, he would fit into Verona’s 4-3-3 system alongside Luca Toni. Italian international goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano will undergo a medical at Arsenal on Sunday, according to reports in Italy. The Palermo player has travelled to London ahead of a transfer, according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio. The deal would be a paid loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. Napoli have loaned Walter Gargano to Parma with an option to buy at the end of the season. The Uruguayan midfielder spent last season on loan at Inter, but the club decided not to make that move permanent. This switch to the Stadio Tardini had been in the air for several weeks, but was only made official this afternoon. The 29-year-old has been at Napoli since July 2007 and his contract runs to June 2016. Parma are also expected to secure Joel Obi on loan from Inter. Fiorentina have reportedly made an offer for Atalanta goalkeeper Andrea Consigli. Although the club and Coach Vincenzo Montella publicly backed current shot-stopper Neto, question marks remain over his status as first choice. According to L’Eco di Bergamo newspaper, the Viola have approached Atalanta for 26-year-old Consigli. The proposal is cash plus Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazy and Polish midfielder Rafal Wolski. However, sources in Bergamo suggest Atalanta have no intention of parting with the goalkeeper who grew up in their youth academy. The Viola’s other alternative remains QPR man Julio Cesar. Inter have sent scouts to view PSV Eindhoven midfielder Adam Maher after he impressed against Milan. The Dutch Under-21 international just turned 20, but was PSV’s most intriguing player during the Champions League play-off. He tested Christian Abbiati several times from distance and had a hand in PSV’s goal. According to Tuttosport, he caught Inter’s eye and they sent scouts to view Maher in Holland. The price-tag is thought to be around €12-15m. Maher was born in Morocco, but has a Dutch passport and only joined PSV two months ago from AZ Alkmaar for €8m.
