Seriously folks, unless the road are clear to the blacktop, you - TopicsExpress

Seriously folks, unless the road are clear to the blacktop, you better keep your speed down. If there is a car illegally parked ahead, turn on your flashers to warn others and slow down to 20. When you dont see any problems ahead i suggest driving at 10 to 15 miles under the speed limit or 40, whichever speed is lower. Remember the speed limit is the safe speed for a dry road. That winding road out in the middle of nowhere is posted 35, so you can control your vehicle and are able to stop if you see something wrong when it is dry pavement. You might not even make it around the 35 mph corner at anything over 25 on a snowy road. The momentum of your car may spin you out. And anybody approaching you who is going over 20 wont be able to avoid your car. Watch for those orange speed signs. Those are posted at locations where accidents frequently happen, to let you know you should not be going around that next corner at anything over their recommended speed anytime that road is not dry and bare -- even when just wet in the middle of summer. Remember what hydroplaning is?
