Session 1: July 8 – 19; Session 2: July 29 – August 9, 2013 1216 East Eighth Street, Dallas, Texas 75203 The 2013 Summer Leadership Academy @ Harllee will provide Oak Cliff community youth, grades 7 – 10, opportunity to gain skills that will assist them in becoming school and community leaders. This program promotes the importance of leadership, physical fitness, higher education, and a healthy life-style. During the 2-week summers sessions, participants will engage in activities that will be challenging, exciting, informative, and offer an exciting and interactive day of what life is like on a college campus, specifically Texas A & M University @ Commerce! All of the students will participate in both indoor and outdoor team activities culminating in an Awards and Graduation recognition program and reception. Who Can Apply: Students entering grades 7 – 10, and attend school at Roosevelt or South Oak Cliff High Schools; or Boude Storey, OW Holmes, or Sarah Zumwalt Middles Schools Cost: $20 (Scholarships available)
