Session with a good player. Problems with putts from 5-10; accuracy issues; misses both right and left. Had spent $400+ to have his instructor custom fit him to a putter (in this case Edel), with little to no results. If you were to ask the gentleman about the fitting experience, he would probably suggest it had little impact on his performance, and was not worth the $400 investment. When in fact, it may have solidified a lot of good things, but ignored the core problem. In this gentlemans case, excess rotation of the putter head with his hands was the issue. It was easy to see, and the inconsistency in misses left and right was the clue to an easy diagnosis. Diagnosis, however, is only the beginning. His hand motion was habitual. The Super Stroker grip on his Edel putter was not going to lick this problem. The first attempt with the Putting T-Bar and his stroke stopped mid-backstroke. His next attempt was better, but still shaky. I asked him about feedback and he said he could feel the resistance against his habitual hand motion. The beginning of breaking the old habit and building a new. The Putting T-Bar is magical!
