Setting the House in Order Tonight at Bethel we are starting a new thing with out Wednesday night service. We are calling it Equip. It is the conviction of our Pastor, Blaine St Germain, and myself as the Discipleship Director, that the greatest weakness of the church is the lack of Biblical knowledge in the people. The church world-wide is in decline, and there is a direct correlation to a church in decline and the spiritual pulse of the church, which is her foundational knowledge of the Bible. This lack of knowledge has left the church weak and spiritually impoverished across the board world wide. As leaders, we cannot sit back and not address this chronic problem. So, in this vein we are introducing the concept of Equip on Wednesday nights. We will be offering six different teachings which you can choose from to attend. These teachings are designed to sure up our faith, to give us the knowledge we should already possess. Over the last 50 yrs. we have preached every single week, but we have not imparted Biblical knowledge to our congregations that would strengthen them in their walk with Christ. We have to correct this, we have a mandate to set the house in order. We as leaders are being forced to reassess the way, the manner in which we communicate Biblical truth. So, everyone, pulpit and pew alike need to work to do. So, tonight we get to start the process whereby we set the house in order. Come and be apart. Come to learn your faith. We have a tremendous Christian faith. Its great truths will give you great power to live a life worth living. Come and engage, and start a life journey that will bring you to the place where the Apostle Paul came to at the end of his life and ministry when he said: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have KEPT THE FAITH (2 Tim.4:7)
