Several days ago I posted a video by Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in The Passion of Christ. In that video he spoke of an audio Bible production that he was a part of. In this production he is the voice of Jesus. It is called The Word of Promise. It is an audio of the New Testament of the Bible. I ordered it and received it today. It is 20 CDs and 1 DVD of behind the scenes clips. I watched the DVD and listened to only a portion of the 1st CD (Matthew 1-11). It is AMAZING!!! The list of actors include John Heard, Luke Perry, Michael W. Smith, John Schneider, Lou diamond Phillips, Richard Dreyfuss, Marisa Tomei, Louis Gossett, Jr., Stacy Keach just to name a few!! If you are ever interested in hearing the Bible, I highly recommend this! There is a 30+ pc orchestra. It is not just someone reading the Bible. It is actors actually acting the parts. Background sound effects, music, etc. It is $31 on Amazon and comes in a very nice zippered case. Sorry to go on about this but I am just amazed at the outcome so far!
