Several new appointments made in gov’t. (mylbsonline/Liberia/March 1, 2014)- The Executive Mansion has released several new nominations in government, pending confirmation where applicable. He Executive Mansion is the official office and home of the Liberian President. According to an Executive Mansion release, those nominated by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf are, Peter Kamei –Chairman, Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment Board of Directors, Cllr. Carlos Smith – Member, Liberia Telecommunications Corporation Board of Directors, replacing Dr. El Mohamed Sheriff. Others are, Eugene Peabody –Member, Liberia Bank for Development and Investment Board of Directors, representing Liberia’s shares, George Wisner –Executive Director, National Investment Commission, and Asatu Bah Konneh –Deputy Commissioner for Immigration, Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization. Also appointed by President Johnson-Sirleaf include Benedict Johnson –Deputy Director for Operations, Drug Enforcement Agency, Gwee Porkpah Deputy Director for Administration, Drug Enforcement Agency, and Henry Yonton –Deputy Minister for Sports, Ministry of Youth and Sports, replacing Dionysius Sebwe, now reassigned.
