Several objectives set forth by a state commission created after the death of Ethan Saylor will be addressed in future training by the Maryland Police Training Commission. The Commission for Effective Community Inclusion of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities presented at a meeting Wednesday in Baltimore the objectives it wants the training commission to use in statewide training for law enforcement officers. The training commission accepted all eight of the inclusion commissions recommendations at the meeting, according to a news release issued by state police and the Maryland Department of Disabilities. The inclusion commission was created in September 2013 after the death of Saylor, a man with Down syndrome.
