Several times in the last few days Ive heard or seen people mention the guy who called the police on his son for stealing his truck. The theme is always the same OMG the police are terrible, they shouldnt of shot him. etc. etc. Ive just watched the video of the incident. When the officer fired he was outside of his vehicle which at that very moment was being rammed, agian, by the suspect. At that point, I would have shot him too. Now, for those complaining that the pursuit was called off, the only radio traffic I heard of that was moments before it ended and with an officer out of his car with the suspect at gunpoint. ——> Perhaps he shouldnt have stolen the vehicle, led police on a chase, used a several ton vehicle as a deadly weapon repeatedly to attack the police and so on. Dont want to be shot by the cops? Well, dont commit felonies, evade the police and attack them. Pretty damned simple really. Asan side: This event has made me lose a bit of faith in Glenn Beck too, the discussion on the radio show seemed to intentionally skip over a lot of the event .They made it sound like the guy called the cops, the cops pulled up and shot the guys son. There is a LOT more to the incident than that.
