Several years ago, I received a call from an unknown pastor in Liberia asking me to come to the war torn country. Battles were raging, and I sensed Gods leading to go to the country and minister. I entered the country just as the war ended. I preached and many people came to Christ. I returned and saw all kinds of needs. My daughter, Renee Tippit Barker, and her husband Paul, and my son, Dave Tippit and his wife Kelly, joined my wife and me in providing medicine for a small clinic just outside the capital city, Monrovia. We saw lives saved physically from the clinic and many saved spiritually as they responded to the gospel. I had a vision to see transformation of this community. We started a ministry called Liberia Now. Brent Saathoff and my son Dave Tippit took leadership. Dave is now the Chairman of the Board of Liberia Now. They are doing an incredible job of lifting this community out of physical and spiritual poverty. Theyve just launched a new website. Its a great site.
