Shalom, friends! Hope your Shabbat and/or Sunday worship was sweet and fulfilling. I know ours was. Here are some quick notes on Pastor Billys sermon (which was great BTW!), and the prayer requests that were given. Please feel free to post requests here, and we will get them to our prayer team. (Basically all of us! LOL) Todah rabah (Thanks much), and may you be blessed by our Messiah Yeshua/Jesus each and every day of your life! Sermon Notes: Mattisyahu (Matthew) 15:1-20: Torah/Law vs. Tradition! Acts of obedience to Torah/Tradition are only ACTS! They do not give grace and mercy, nor do they initiate salvation. The acts we do, we do as symbols meant to demonstrate our devotion and what only Yeshua can do, which is change the heart of man. Man cannot change his own heart, no matter what the psychologists, scientists, and New Age teachers say. No amount of meditation or acts of service will change the heart. Only accepting the gift of salvation Yeshua gives can change the heart. Only God knows the depths of the heart, and only HE can change them! If you walk out your salvation with fear and trembling(awe and respect), you will obey the Word of God, and the process of salvation can go on. Connies take: If you walk proudly, with arrogance and disrespect, the process of salvation slows or stops. (No, we do not believe salvation itself can be lost, but the blessings of God may not flow as easily or often!) If you obey the Word of God, seek His will, and obey when it is revealed **even all the way to Alaska! ;-)** you will find blessing and spiritual growth and release. Prayer Requests for this week: Madison: Grandpa almost walking again! Continued healing. Madisons 2nd grade teacher passed away. Comfort for the family, friends, and students. Joan: PW (Pastors Wife) Lauras health, and Stanleys health. Danny: 2 confirmed TrailLife troops in Alaska, Moriah may sponsor one, too! Rabbi Mike: Guidance for the men involved with working on Moriahs constitution. RW (Rabbis Wife) Connie: Greeting from Mom Thelma, and praise for work all week. Pastor Billy: Moose Pass church called Pastor Hyler-unanimous vote. Praise God!! Ian: China to become a democracy. Isabelle: Parents marriage, a friend needs help, and her brother, SIL, and niece for travel mercies as they come visit here. Aeris: Friend needs help, and that Autumn would attend services. Bree: They saw a moose by the road, but were safe. Alex: For Corbins dog, and for Miss Debbie. PW Laura: Her blood oxygen was very low, and heart rate very high-unexplained yet. Healing!! Announcement: Womens Retreat rescheduled. Now will be on Nov. 9-10, in Seward. Pray for PW Laura and RW Connie, as they pray and talk about what to teach, how to relate, and how to get our girls to relax!!! Thanks, all.
