Shaq donated $25,000 to NJ Boys & Girls Club to help keep it open for the summer. This is a great gesture of giving back to the community. He remembers being part of the club as a youth. Before anyone says, he can afford it, hes gonna file on his taxes anyway, etc ...note that I really believe more folks can make things happen here too but dont. All I ever hear about is proposals of programs. Its obvious that such programs and organizations require money to function. In addition, Ms. Vera Abraham and crew struggle annually just to have something for kids to do for several weeks while school is out. However, I am also aware that the proposed venue which can be beneficial year round (near my house) for kids is being repeatedly vandalized. I refuse to listen to who did what or didnt do whatever in the past. A new plan needs to be in place now! I am not pleased with the destruction of the building by idiots but Im sure if it becomes occupied and properly secured, the theft would stop. Oh how I wish I could...anyway, we need help, lots of it.
