As one of the oldest actors in the industry at 92 years of age, Sir Christopher Lee continues to surprise his fans with his love for heavy metal. Lee released his first of two heavy metal albums in 2010 under the title Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross. His follow up album was released in May of 2013 and was aptly titled Charlemagne: The Omens of Death. In addition to these two albums, Lee has released several EPs and singles that have topped the metal charts. In 2014 fans have had the honor of enjoying two singles entitled Metal Knight and Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing. Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing is Lee’s third heavy metal Christmas single. The combination of Lee’s baritone voice with heavy metal guitar solos and drum breakdowns is quite shocking considering the actor’s age and respected career in front of the camera. Regardless, fans have come to quite enjoy his singles, and in addition to his Christmas carol renditions Lee has also worked on several other non-holiday metal albums that have helped him earn the Spirit of Metal award in 2010.
