Shared from the Arvo Pärt Fan Page. Tomorrow, February 24, 2014, is the 96th Anniversary of Estonian Independence. The official celebratory concert has become an annual televised cultural event. The 90th Anniversary concert is available in the ETV archives and is bookended by Arvo Pärt works, including an appearance by Pärt himself performing on piano via video. A slightly befuddled country man performed by actor Guido Kangur appears during spoken interludes throughout and is invited to the dance at the end. The songs are mostly in Estonian but I hope others can enjoy it. The stage direction is by Peeter Jalakas and the musical direction and conducting is by Tõnu Kaljuste. 1. Arvo Pärt arr.
