Sharing this for Sugith Varugheses comment on Innoversity Presents the 2014 Shaw Media Showcase: I recently attended a presentation by Shaw Media on their programming and while they support diversity, their very impressive drama reel they showed at the up fronts did not have a single non-white face on screen. I would have liked to attend this showcase, but I dont live in Toronto. The issue of how racially diverse the industry is aside, I wonder why Innoversity hosts the Shaw Media Showcase, if the SMS gears more toward the business side of things. I realize Shaw Media helps fund Innoversity; I just hope this isnt a marriage of convenience.
