Shashank Kashyap, thanks for nominating me for the #BookBucketChallenge was it? XD Here are my favourite books in no particular order: 1. The Harry Potter series - J.K. Rowling - My first venture into fantasy novels. 2. The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings trilogy - J.R.R. Tolkien - My personal favourite fantasy series. I wish I lived in Middle-Earth. :D 3. Goosebumps/The Famous Five/Animorphs - R.L. Stein/Enid Blyton/K.A. Applegate - My childhood was defined by these books. No more words. 4. Ramayana/Mahabharata - Valmiki/Veda Vyasa - The two epics that define our religion. Story-telling does not get better than this. 5. The Robert Langdon quadrology - Dan Brown - Robert is like Indiana Jones, except we read about him. Whats not to love? 6. On The Origin of Species - Charles Darwin - Lisa Simpson introduced me to this book in one of my favourite episodes: The Monkey Suit (S17E21). Quite an interesting read. 7. Oliver Twist/Great Expectations/A Tale of Two Cities/A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens - One of the best authors to ever exist. His works are purely marvellous. 8. Treasure Island/The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - Robert Louis Stevenson - Buried treasure and multiple personality disorder always make for an entertaining read. 9. Inkheart/Inkspell/Inkdeath - Cornelia Funke - Silvertongue is one of my favourite characters ever. The power to bring a book to life just by reading it aloud. Id give anything for that. 10. Peter Pan - J.M. Barrie - Look! Up in the sky! Its a bird! Its a plane! Its Superm-No screw you. Its Peter Pan. My first Super(boy)man. Thanks Shashank for this challenge. Spent the better part of an hour trying to recollect all the books Ive read. :D I feel bad for omitting so many good books. So here are a few honourable mentions - A Song of Ice and Fire, The Inheritance series, Tinkle, Amar Chitra Katha, Dracula, a few Stephen King novels, lots of graphic novels, Julius Caesar and The Count of Monte Cristo.
