Shawns Journey from birth to diagnoses. Cancer came through and ripped my sons inocents away!! It seperated us as a family several times, leaving me to choose between my two children. Treatment alone has almost taken Shawns life. Cancer has put such a financial burden on us as a family leaving me and my husband sometimes wondering where will we get food, will we be on the streets, will we have electricity. Cancer, however has made us all so strong. Cancer has taught us to embrace every little moment in life. It has taught us to slow down and love on eah other more. To never take anything for granted. We are still in the midst of this ugly fight. Shawn has grown so much in the past 2 1/2 years and Makayla blessed with so much understanding is becoming such an amazing young lady. We love deeper and appreciate ALL of the blessings we have been given. Shawn is still here, some parents do not get this option. Cancer is ugly, nasty, painful, and it takes the lives of so many children each and every day!!! We must stand up to cancer and be the voice of the children. DO NOT TURN AWAY!!!! WE NEED YOU!!!!
