She died Christmas Day 2014, just yesterday, at the ripe old age of 97 years. She had quite a career back in her day, touring with T-Bone, Cleanhead, Jordan, Dizzy, Duke... colleagues said she was a joy to be around, and knew how to deliver the goods onstage. And yet eventually, she was largely forgotten. So I want to put this up, a little bit too late to do her any earthly good, but just so maybe a few more folks will know her name.
