She is the first woman (left side) with a facial tattoo I bumped into while trekking Mt. Victoria in Chin State, Myanmar, in 2001. That was the start of my passion to portrait Chin women. Thirteen years later and by coincident, I met her sister (right side) on the other side of the mountain in Hlaing Doh village earlier this year. I found out while showing her the photos in my book Bloodfaces when she suddenly pointed and said...and thats my sister!. Happy to put their portraits side-by-side!
