She was born in Sylacauga Al. Her mother passed away when she was only 5 years old and she was raised by her grandparents. She attended segregated schools and graduated at the top of her class. She married a man of distinction. She went on to graduate summa cum laude from Alabama A&M University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude earning her Masters of science. She programmed the Patriot Missle among other things that have ultimately saved lives and never took an ounce of credit for it. She homeschooled all four of us for 6 years. She was President of Eagle Forum, Choose Life Save a Life Organization and spoke in Germany for the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremonies. She obtained a Doctoral degree in Physics. She has mentored and tutored scores of Young people who absolutely Adore her. Shes taught Sunday School and lead every manner of achievement course I can imagine. She will cut grass, sew tuxedos, and cook the most amazing meal youve ever tasted from scratch. She Loves God and is Not Ashamed to let you know. She is nurturing, she is kind, she is strong, and she Is My Mother! I love you Dr Vernessa M. Edwards! You are my example of excellence in this world! And I will continue to try to live up to your standard. Your son, Cortney.
