Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. (1 Peter 5:2-4). A shepherd otherwise known as Pastor has some responsibilities to qualify him as a Pastor b4 God. Firstly he is to feed the sheep with the balance diet of the word of God. Secondly he is to protect the sheep against the attack of wild animal(devil) by also preaching d truth of the word of God to them. The truth of the word of God is both d offensive and defensive or protective weapon against the devil. We are to use the word of God (scriptures) to protect d sheep but quiet unfortunately the same is used as gun against d sheep by all round extortion. I have no Guarantee for crown of glory from chief shepherd 4 anyone who does that or use ministry 4 filthy lucre.
