Shift Production Coordinator – Golborne (on East Lancs Road near M6 Haydock) IMMEDIATE START - Plastics Manufacturing – 5 crew (12hrs shifts) Alpla UK Ltd, are now looking to recruit at its Golborne Manufacturing Operations in Golborne a Shift Production Coordinator with an IMMEDIATE START. Alpla are a global manufacturer of high quality plastic containers and caps and at our Golborne plant, we produce for a huge range of Blue Chip Clients such as Unilever, Cussons, Shell and many others. This role, reporting to the Operations Manager (Blown Products), will ensure a smooth, safe and efficient production operation to meet the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity on our production floor; whilst developing and coaching your production operational team, in plastic extrusion blow and stretch blow moulding processes and practical use of CIP tools and methodologies in the workplace currently being further developed on site. The main focus of the role will include: · Provide optimum machine utilisation and overall productivity against plan · Analyze and interpret data on a daily basis to meet production needs and ensure right first time quality -Drive Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) into the Plant through use of CIP tools & methodologies across your shift team · Troubleshoot production problems using your team resources and via CIP tools · Effectively manage material flow, blown production processes through to finished stock and your shift team with the coaching of your Shift Team Leaders to further embrace team working across all shifts · Day to day liaison with other support functions, to maintain high cooperation levels to meet Customer satisfaction at all times, is considered paramount. The successful candidate will need to have experience with at least 3 to 5 years production familiarity within a high-volume plastics or FMCG cell manufacturing environment, along with daily use of CIP manufacturing tools & methodologies. Preferably, trained in either Plastics or Polymer processes with very good training in current H&S practices together with excellent communications, IT and process flow skills. Your leadership style needs to be fully inclusive, using the skills of your team to meet your key objectives as well as focussed on the customer needs. The role will require an average of 141 x 12hrs shifts to be worked annually, as we operate a 5 crew system, which ensures Xmas and Easter shutdowns as well as 2 x 11 day breaks and a summer 18 day break.
