Shipmate News 15 October 2014 Start the presses It's that time of the year when we're busily putting the final touches to Shipmate Marine Directory 2015 print edition and there's just not enough hours in the day. But there is light at the end of the tunnel as very soon it'll go off to the printers. But don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not complaining, in fact I really enjoy the process. And that's due in part to the fact at this time of the year I get to catch up with so many people, many of whom I may not have seen for nearly a year. And that's also another reason why I enjoy what i do, over the years I've met so many nice people in boating and the boating business and many have become firm friends. But then that's the nature of boating and perhaps also the reason that so many people in the boating business also go boating to relax. It's something you can do with family and friends and no matter what your budget, you can get out in a small tinny or sail boat, a large cruiser, or anything in between. Anyway I seem to have digressed, what I was leading up to was to say that the 2015 print edition of Shipmate Marine Directory is almost complete. 14,000 copies of Shipmate will be distributed free via yacht clubs, marinas, marine organisations and selected marine businesses and they'll start going out towards the end of November. Our sincere thanks to our sponsors and advertisers without whose support Shipmate would not be possible. And now just briefly to our website at shipmate.au and I'm pleased to report that visitors to the site continue to increase each month. Last month we recorded over 27,000 visitors to the site, so if you haven't visited recently, check it out and, if your in the marine business and want to get your message across to boaters, call us and we'll give you some info on advertising, i'm sure you'll be very surprised how little it costs.
