Shout-out to the staff and volunteers at the Community Dining Room in Branford! Brianna had an incredible first community practicum experience there this week. She prepared bread baskets, bagged lunches for home delivery, set up tables for lunch, served meals to people seated at her table, cleared dishes, and so on. Everyone was very supportive of the newbie, treating Brianna as an equally valued team member. She took advantage of a well-deserved coffee break when it was offered her and interacted with everyone throughout her shift :-) Briannas comment? “Awesome!” She never once froze or shut down.
