Show of hands: Who would be interested/available to take a hoop-specific fire dancing workshop? Say, 90 minutes after a Sunday BAH jam sometime in October? This course will be a great introduction to hoopers who are new to fire dancing AND those who have already begun their explorations. Fire safety will be a key component to this workshop, which will help expand your fire hooping possibilities. I personally think that fire dancing safety is kind of like learning first aid/CPR--it is really helpful to have a little reminder every now and then, so everything is fresh in your mind and body when you need it. Im working with the highly-experienced Isa GlitterGirl Isaacs, founder of Temple of Poi, to organize something special for Bay Area Hoopers.
