Please mark your calendars and we hope to see you at the Parks Master Plan Update on Nov. 12 The City of Carlsbad Senior Commission and Parks & Recreation Commission will hold special meetings Wednesday, Nov. 12, to hear a summary of the input received on the master plan updates for Aviara, Poinsettia and Pine Avenue community parks. The Senior Commission meeting will begin at 3 p.m. and the Parks & Recreation Commission meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Both meetings will take place at the City of Carlsbad Faraday Center, 1635 Faraday Ave., in room 173B. In August and September, the city solicited input on updates to the parks master plans at three public meetings, through the project website and an online survey. The community and park users were asked to share their vision for the future of Aviara, Poinsettia and Pine Avenue community parks. The final recommendations are expected to be presented to the City Council on Tuesday, Dec. 9 for adoption. The meeting agendas and staff report will be available 72 hours before the meetings on the Senior Commission and Parks & Recreation Commission web pages.
