It is believed that he came to earth as an act of compassion in answer to the prayers of good and pious people in order to propagate a message of peace and love to the whole world. SHRIdEV JASNATH JI was born on Akadashi (devothan) in kartik month on Saturday in the north of KATRIASAR at a distance of 12 miles form Dabhla pond in bikaner district It is told that he was protected at birth by a lion and a shake. This bears witness to the auspicious nature of his birth. His parents had long wished for a child, his father, a wealthy, landlord, expecting a successor. Form a tender age the boy exhibited his extraordinary nature, performed miracles, and was dearly loved by the people of the village. It so happened when the boy was 12 years of age that his father lost some nice camels in the forest. People searched for it every where but were unable to find it. Shri jasnath ji offered to look for it, but at first his parents refused to let him go in view of the danger to one so young. But the boy visisted and finel his parents relevted. under miraclous circumstances he found his satguru Gorkhnath, received initiation and realized his true nature, For the last 12st years of his life he stayed on a sand dune near katriasar. He never left that Place, engaged in meditation, puja and havan, giving satsang and inspirin every one with his message of peace and compassion for all of nature. Many of his discourses, in which he expresses his message in the most poetic language, are preserved to this day. At the age of only 24 years he left his body and attained Mahasamadhi
