Shōichi Yokoi (横井 庄一 March 31, 1915 – September 22, 1997) A soldier in the Imperial Japanese Army during World War 2 whose unit had been forgotten about , was discovered in the jungles of Guam in 1972. For 28 years he had been carrying out his mission to defend his remote camp against Allied forces even though U.S. forces had regained control of the island in 1944. Upon being returned to Japan…While visiting the grounds of the Imperial Palace, Yokoi said, "Your Majesties, I have returned home...I deeply regret that I could not serve you well. The world has certainly changed, but my determination to serve you will never change." Was there ever a time in your life that you wanted to accomplish something but felt as if you a PART of you was stopping or sabotaging you? These PARTS ( and there may be more than one) are simply outdated subconcious PROGRAMS that we adopted to help us through times of stress and trauma earlier in life... Just like that soldier, these programs have been forgotten about but are still effectively doing their jobs. Even though your world and situation has changed, these programs never will! Unless you update them.....
