Silker’s steps up and plays an active role in the community. The Divine Word Seminary, a college in town along with several churches and schools provides another stabilizing quality to a small town. These institutions require services such as food, disaster relief equipment or appliances to utilize in their teaching facilitates. Silker’s also supports many of their fund-raisers from auctions, spring time brunches and/or booster clubs.
