The Germans started the Franco-Prussian War in the late 1850s - they were allied with the UK and I with the Russians, the Swiss and Wurttemberg (a South German state where Stuttgart is). They decided that instead of fighting the Germans on their doorstep, they would go for the glory of conquering England... with mixed results. But for a brief, glorious moment, the colours of Wurttemberg flew over London. Oh yes - and I got so peeved that the Germans wouldnt accept any terms that I decided to go for a total victory, and, for the lolz, forced them to liberate Poland in 1861.
