...Simply an amazing thing to see. Shows you the power of the Human Spirit. I must admit, I am very very disappointed that of all the World Leaders to travel from near and far to participate, that our president, of the United States of America, who has absolutely nothing scheduled on his book this entire weekend, seems to have not lifted a finger to try an attend. There are certain things in life you can be bit tired, bit worn out, bit overwhelmed..but moments like these, with a close American Ally, and other world leaders we expect to be there for us...makes no sense and is quite embarrassing to not show up to an event like this. I have my opinions on free speech and the limits of free speech which I dont think is necessarily a green light to offend others or to target particular groups or religions...but this is still about violence, terrorism, and the idea that we do have freedoms regardless and sending bombers, or killers to express your view will never get any respect from me. Violence honestly in the end really solves nothing. But regardless of that aspect of free speech...there really is no excuse for the president of the US to not attend this event himself. He is the leader of the most powerful country in the world and you cant expect our allies to stand with us, when you dont return the favor for them. Hes flown to Afghanistan for just a 5 hr stay, and hes surprised people in all parts of the globe for Military reasons...this one, was just one he should have been there for. I love him to death as you all know, but not blindly. Some things, some events in the world..simply matter. This was one of them.
