Since transmitter readings are being discussed here, this is the operating log for WJLS from November 27, 1957, kept by Omar Bowyer Jr. Only the night readings appear, because the station was not authorized to use remote control from the studio at night when the directional pattern was in use, so an engineer was on duty at the transmitter site at night. When I started in radio, we took these readings every 30 minutes, except that we did not record the crystal oven temperature. I dont know whether it was required in 1957.
