The stupid thing about the lefts attempts to change Christma...s is that Christmas really is for everyone. If your religious you can pay homage to the birth of Christ otherwise its just an occasion for being with the family and having fun. Dont like a nativity scene? Theres Santa Claus and a whole raft of colourful light shows for everyone. When the left bleat about the holiday’s Christian roots the best response to that is so what? Countries like Australia and the US have Christian roots as well and like Christmas have evolved. Christmas has gone from being for some people to being for everybody. It doesn’t discriminate in anyway, all that is asked is that you’re nice to everyone. And that’s probably why the left don’t like it. They want restrictions on what people can do and people being nice to each other would mean there’d be no causes for the left to champion. There’s no need for the left in a happy country. As far as Christmas insulting immigrants my response is ‘huh??’ Why would someone come to a country that’s got something like this that will offend them? And in any case it’s events like Christmas that contribute to what makes countries like, Australia, the US, Canada and New Zealand what they are. I f we are expected to respect other peoples traditions and customs, even though in many cases they are what drove those people from their country to begin with, it’s fair to expect the traditions and customs already in place in our countries are respected as well. I have celebrated Christmas for years and I’m not stopping or calling it a different name just because someone doesn’t like it for whatever reasons they’ve made up about it.
